1. General Information About the Institution
Vocational and Technical School No. 26 of Kremenchuk is a state vocational education institution in Poltava Oblast with over a century-long history of training skilled workers. Founded on October 22, 1922, as the 1st Kremenchuk Vocational School of Mechanical Specialization, it has evolved over its 100+ years into a multi-profile vocational education institution that blends traditions, professional mastery, and modern educational technologies.
Today, the school’s primary mission is to train highly qualified workers for mechanical engineering, the food industry, and the service sector. A defining feature of Vocational School No. 26 is the synthesis of a century of experience with a strong orientation toward the modern labor market. The facility houses two academic buildings, 28 classrooms, 7 practical workshops, 3 laboratories, 2 computer labs, libraries, sports and assembly halls, a stadium, a driving maneuver yard, and training vehicles. The Training and Practical Center for Modern Locksmith Technologies also operates on the premises.

Vocational and Technical School No. 26 is a multi-profile vocational education institution.
Programs based on 9th grade (Lower Secondary Education):
“Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Mechanic; Mechanical Assembly Fitter” – duration: 2 years 10 months.
“Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Mechanic; Repair Fitter” – duration: 2 years 10 months.
“Automatic and Semi-Automatic Welding Machine Operator” – duration: 2 years 10 months.
“Baker; Confectioner” – duration: 2 years 10 months.
“Cook; Confectioner” – duration: 2 years 10 months.
Programs based on 11th grade (Upper Secondary Education):
“Crane Operator” – duration: 10 months, Qualification: Level 3.
“Electric and Gas Welder; Automatic and Semi-Automatic Welding Machine Operator” – duration: 1 year 6 months, Qualification: Level 3.
“Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Mechanic; Mechanical Assembly Fitter” – duration: 10 months.
In addition to core programs, the school offers professional training, retraining, skill upgrades, and short-term courses, allowing the institution to respond dynamically to employer and labor market demands.
3. Teaching Staff
A key strength of Vocational School № 26 is its professional teaching team, ensuring high quality in both theoretical and practical training.
The staff includes 61 pedagogical workers:

30 teachers/lecturers
8 other pedagogical staff members
The staff systematically upgrades their professional skills, undergoes accreditation, participates in methodological events, and adopts modern teaching technologies. International exposure remains a vital component of institutional development. Teaching personnel actively participate in regional methodological events presenting outcomes from international initiatives, including the EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine project.
4. Students
Currently, over 520 students study at the institution.
Students acquire specialized skills while developing digital, communicative, social, and entrepreneurial competencies. Practical training plays a central role in the curriculum—taking place in modern classrooms, laboratories, and workshops designed to equip students with the competencies needed for successful employment.

Cooperation with Local CSOs
Partnership with CSO “Insha Zhinka” (Another Woman): Implemented free short-term courses for women in “Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Mechanic” and “Mechanical Assembly Fitter,” aimed at challenging gender stereotypes and fostering women’s economic empowerment.
Support for Vulnerable Groups: Collaboration with charity organizations like “Svitlo Nadiyi” (Light of Hope) strengthens the social dimension of educational programs for “Baker” and “Motor Vehicle Repair Mechanic” occupations.
State Voucher Program: In collaboration with the Kremenchuk Branch of the Poltava Regional Employment Center, the school serves as an executing institution providing free professional training and skill upgrades for individuals holding state training vouchers (including individuals aged 45+ and internally displaced persons).
